New pictures show destruction in Tehran after six days of US-Israeli strikes – explosions have been seen across the Iranian capital on Thursday.

In Israel, the military reports new attacks from Iran, after explosions were seen in the sky earlier.

The UAE says it intercepted six Iranian missiles and 131 drones today – but one missile and six drones fell inside the country. The UK embassy in the UAE earlier warned people to “shelter in place.”

Across the region, explosions were reported in Qatar and Bahrain; Azerbaijan said it was attacked by two Iranian drones; and a tanker was damaged in the northern Gulf – Iran said it hit a US ship.

Meanwhile, a UK government-chartered flight to bring citizens home from the region has been delayed by a technical issue. “It’s a total farce,” one passenger tells the BBC

Prime Minister Keir Starmer is due to give an update on the Middle East conflict at 14:00 GMT.

And in northern Iraq, Kurdish Iranians deny their forces have entered Iran: “We cannot move if the air above us is not cleaned,” they tell the BBC.
