Public Relations Officer for the prominent event production company CharterHouse, Robert Klah, has raised concerns over the persistent issue of event delays, which he says occurred during a number of high-profile concerts during the recent “Detty December” festive season.

Speaking in an interview with Hitz FM on January 13, 2026, Klah highlighted the trend where shows advertised for a specific date would often not begin until the early hours of the following morning.

“Most of the programs started late. You advertise that your show will take place on the 25th, and you start the program on the 26th,” Klah noted.

He expressed unease with the culture of celebrating long events, where attendees take pride in shows lasting “twelve hours or ten hours.”

“That kind of stuff is a thing to watch. It’s a thing to address,” he stated.

However, Klah also acknowledged the fact that such events closing late also serve as a safety mechanism for those who would have difficulty getting home at night.

“I know, for example, some people are more comfortable closing at five AM than closing at 2am or 3am because they’re not too sure of how to get transportation home.

“So, while we are not too happy about the start time, there are also safety issues that you want to look into,” he explained.
