On the third day of the Asantehemaa’s funeral, diplomats from around the world joined Ghanaians in paying their respects to the late Nana Konadu Yiadom III. On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, the Asantehene received international envoys at the state reception.
Among the dignitaries present were Australia’s High Commissioner, H.E. Berenice Owen-Jones, Spain’s Ambassador H.E. Ángel Lossada Torres-Quevedo, and Suriname’s Ambassador H.E. Fidelia Graand-Galon. Barbados High Commissioner H.E. Juliette Byone-Sutherland, Rwanda High Commissioner H.E. Rosemary Mbabazi, as well as representatives from France and Burkina Faso, were also in attendance.
The four-day burial program, which began on September 15, is set to end on September 18 with the final burial ceremony at Breman Baamu.
Filing past for both dignitaries and the public runs daily from 5 am to 5 pm, except on the last day, which concludes at 11 am to allow preparation for the 3 pm interment. Residents are reminded that outdoor movement will be restricted from 7 pm on the burial day.
