The Senior Apostle of the Dispensation Gospel Mission (DGM), Apostle Edward Frempong, has urged the newly elected national executives of the church to serve with humility and work towards the spiritual, numerical and financial growth of the church.

He gave the charge at the induction ceremony of three newly elected executives of the church.

They are the General Superintendent, Apostle Samuel Teiko-Tagoe; the General Secretary, Rev. Prof. Joseph K. Tuffour; and the International Missions Director, Apostle Sampson Ofori.

Induction service

The executives were elected by the National Presbytery of the church following the expiration of the tenure of the immediate past leadership.

They were inducted into office at a church service held last Sunday at the DGM Auditorium, New Bortianor, in the Ga South Municipality in the Greater Accra Region.

Apostle Frempong further charged the inductees to emulate the example of Jesus Christ by caring for His people and supporting them in their Christian witness.

He also called on members of the church to support the new executives to enable them to succeed in their roles.

Responsibilities

The General Superintendent will oversee the affairs of the church and chair meetings of the National Presbytery and National Executive Council, as well as other church bodies and programmes.

The General Secretary will serve as secretary to the National Presbytery and National Executive Council, ensure that decisions are communicated to all departments and committees, and oversee the administration of the church’s head office.

The International Missions Director will supervise missionary activities, handle correspondence, organise seminars and retreats for training and coordinate evangelistic outreach such as crusades, rallies and conventions.

Acceptance

Speaking on behalf of the inductees, Apostle Teiko-Tagoe thanked the leadership and members of the church for the confidence reposed in them.

He pledged that they would serve with humility, promote the spiritual growth of members and intensify evangelism to increase the church’s membership.
