Popular musician and entrepreneur, D-Black

Renowned Ghanaian musician and entrepreneur Desmond Blackmore, known professionally as D-Black, has urged citizens to cherish and protect the nation’s peace, calling it a divine blessing.

In a social media post on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, which also marked his birthday, the artiste reflected on Ghana’s standing in the world.

“Guys, we really are from one of the best (in so many ways) & most peaceful countries in the world. No matter what we go thru personally and our struggles of life, let’s not take this for granted.

The public message of unity and gratitude was later accompanied by a touching act of kindness on his birthday.

To celebrate his day, D-Black visited the Rising Star Orphanage in Dodowa to make a donation through his Desmond Blackmore Foundation.

Since 2011, the entrepreneur has consistently used his success to support orphanages and vulnerable children across the country, including institutions at Korle Bu, the Teshie Orphanage, and the Osu Children’s Home.
