The Ghanaian music duo, DopeNation, has addressed claims suggesting they failed to apply for the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) nominations.
During a recent conversation with DJ Slim, the duo responded to rumors that they were unresponsive to the award scheme after their songs were considered for nominations.
Slim had questioned the duo on an X post, asking if the accusations were true.
DopeNation clarified that while they’ve been dealing with several challenges, they’ve chosen not to publicly disclose certain matters out of respect for specific individuals.
They also described the music industry as hypocritical, referencing events from 2021 to support their stance.
The duo further emphasized that their current struggles extend beyond just awards, hinting at larger, ongoing issues within the industry.
DopeNation warned that if things continue down this path, the industry may soon lose its genuine talent.al story but changes the structure and phrasing.
