Ghanaian comic actor and Kumawood sensation, Dr. Likee, born Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi, has reflected on his past struggles and how a breakthrough in the film industry completely reshaped his life.
Speaking during a media interview ahead of the premiere of his new film “Elubo,” the actor revealed that before rising to fame, he had faced significant financial challenges that kept his dreams out of reach.
One of his biggest ambitions as a young man was to migrate to Libya in hopes of finding better opportunities abroad. However, those plans never materialized as he consistently fell short of the funds needed to make the trip.
Dr. Likee shared that his fortunes changed dramatically after he stepped into the world of acting. What once felt like an impossible dream became reality, as his acting career opened international doors, allowing him to visit numerous countries across Europe—something he never imagined possible during his early struggles.
He credited the film industry for completely altering his trajectory and offering him a life far beyond what he once thought achievable. Today, he stands not only as a popular entertainer but as someone whose journey inspires many facing similar challenges.
