Ghanaian business tycoon Osei Kwame Despite is preparing to bid farewell to his late mother-in-law in a highly anticipated funeral this weekend.

The passing of his mother-in-law, occurred a few weeks ago, and the family has meticulously planned an elaborate set of final rites to honour her memory.

A solemn yet grand display marked the beginning of the proceedings when her remains were transported via helicopter, housed in a luxurious casket, to the town of Mamponteng near Kumasi.

The golden casket, which caught the attention of many, was flown from Accra after a formal memorial service.

It was a spectacle that saw a large turnout, including family members, friends, and dignitaries who gathered to pay their respects.

Upon arrival in Mamponteng, the deceased’s remains were ceremoniously received by grieving family members, including Kwame Despite and his wife, Awurama Osei.

A procession followed, where pallbearers carefully transferred the casket to an awaiting hearse, marking the start of the final stages of the burial rites.

The late Mrs. Opoku-Acheampong, as she was known, had evidently left an indelible mark on her family, and the outpouring of grief reflected the depth of the loss.
