The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Upper East constituency, Dr Seidu Jasaw, has commissioned two Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) facilities at Chaggu-Paala and Tuosa to improve access to basic healthcare for residents.

The commissioning forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen primary healthcare delivery within the constituency.

Speaking at the ceremonies, Dr Jasaw underscored the importance of bringing healthcare services closer to the people, particularly those in rural communities.

He noted that the completion of the CHPS facilities would help reduce travel time for patients seeking medical attention and ease pressure on larger health centres in neighbouring towns.

Dr Jasaw, who is also the Chairman of Parliament’s Food and Agriculture Committee, reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance the wellbeing of constituents.
