The driver of a trailer carrying bags of cement has perished in an accident at Kordzeto in Hohoe.
The accident happened on Thursday, February 26, 2026, around 2 pm.
The cause of the accident is unknown; however, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reported that the deceased was alone and trapped in the vehicle on the arrival of its crew.
His body was extricated from the wreckage.
Firefighters then secured the scene, eliminated fire risks, and cleaned the roadway.
“Firefighters coordinated recovery and ensured safety after the accident caused extensive damage to the trailer and its cement cargo,” the statement issued on Friday reported.
