Driver slaps police after fighting with passenger over new lorry fare

In Kasoa, an incident revealed the complexities of enforcing regulations in an urban environment.

It all began with a passenger’s complaint in the Kasoa Central Business District, alleging assault by a driver at the local lorry stop.

The driver, acting under the directives of the Concerned Drivers Association, was enforcing a newly established lorry fare.

However, what seemed like a routine enforcement task quickly turned chaotic.
