His announcement follows the authority’s uncovering of a criminal network involved in the production and distribution of fake DV number plates. The investigation was conducted with support from the National Security Secretariat.
“The authority will not tolerate the activities of Goro Boys within or around any of our operational areas. In collaboration with State Security Agencies, the DVLA is intensifying enforcement actions. Any Goro Boy arrested in connection with these activities will be prosecuted without hesitation,” he stated.
Addressing the media, Mr. Kotey said several of the suspects arrested in the investigation were linked to such activities.
He urged members of the public to avoid dealing with middlemen and instead access services directly from DVLA.
He added that the Authority is expanding its operations by opening more offices across the country to improve accessibility.
