As the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) performs planned maintenance, businesses and residents in several areas of the Ashanti Region should get ready for a brief power outage. The planned exercise is intended to enhance service delivery and guarantee a more dependable power supply, according to ECG. However, some locations will experience a brief outage as a result of the maintenance work.
Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., is when the maintenance is planned. Mampong Market, New Road, Low Cost, Mampong Maternity & Midwifery, and the nearby towns are anticipated to be impacted. ECG has apologized for any inconvenience the interruption may have caused and reassured consumers that the exercise is required to improve the region’s electrical supply quality. To prevent harm when power is restored, residents are urged to take the appropriate safety measures, such as turning off electrical equipment during the outage.
