Member of Parliament for Ejisu, Kwabena Boateng Esq., has called on New Patriotic Party (NPP) members to set aside internal party differences and unite behind the party’s newly elected flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Speaking to the press on Tuesday, Mr. Boateng, who previously served as a prominent campaigner for Kennedy Agyapong, emphasized that the internal contest is over and the focus shift toward a single goal of recapturing power in 2028.

The legislator noted that the results of the recent primary represent a mandate from the party faithful, urging members who supported alternative other candidates to align with the majority decision.

“The verdict delivered by NPP members last Saturday sends a clear message and that is we must market Dr. Bawumia to ensure the party recaptures political power in 2028,” Hon. Boateng stated.

The Ejisu MP expressed his unwavering resolve to lead a reconciliation and mobilization drive across his constituency, adopting strategic means including constituency tours to visiting all electoral areas and polling stations personally.

He further hinted at reaching out to supporters of Kennedy camp and other candidates to ensure total alignment and also media and market tours to amass more potential voters for the party.
“While many had different preferences during the primaries, the majority has spoken. It is now incumbent upon every member to support Dr. Bawumia’s leadership,” he noted.

Mr. Boateng pledged that his support for the former Vice President would be “total and unflinching”, stressing that the NPP cannot afford complacency and that every party member must actively promote the flagbearer’s vision.
