Electrical Fault Caused Sefwi Juaboso Market Fire- GNFS

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has identified an electrical fault as the cause of the Sefwi Juaboso market fire.

The fire was reported in the early hours of Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

The Service reported that the blaze ravaged the contents of four (4) wooden shops and one (1) metal container store.

Firefighters from the Sefwi Juaboso Fire Station arrived promptly, attended to the emergency and doused the flames with the support of members of the public.

“Preliminary investigations suggest the fire was caused by an electrical fault.”

It announced that there were no casualties at the scene.
