AS the clock struck midnight on New Year’s day, Gospel artiste, Esther Godwyll, expresses her gratitude to God for seeing 2026.

Her feelings of appreciation have poured out on her latest song, Aseda, as a heartfelt tribute to God’s unwavering presence in her life.

This latest offering follows, AI Tivi released  in September 2025.

Esther Godwyll, the reigning Telecel Ghana Music Awards(TGMA) Female Vocalist of the Year, draws inspiration from her faith, attributing her songwriting to the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

She said Aseda is a demonstration of her trust in God’s sovereignty, showcasing her impressive vocal range and emotive delivery.

“I expect Aseda to resonate with listeners, reminding them of God’s goodness and faithfulness. I pray the song inspires a culture of gratitude, encouraging believers to trust in God’s plan, even in uncertain times,” she told Graphic Showbiz on Monday, January 5.

With notable songs such as I Choose to Praise, Jehovah is Your Name, and Faithful God, Esther has established herself as a rising star in Ghana’s gospel music scene.

In addition to winning TGMA26  Best Female Vocal Performance, she earned a nod in the  Best New Artiste of the Year category at 2024 Praise Achievement of the Year, Best Female Vocalist of the Year at 2022 Ghana Music Awards UK and Most Promising Gospel Artiste at iConic Social Media Lifestyle Awards.

Instead, gospel events should be vessels for transformation, transcending mere performance and patrons of gospel music events should not expect to have fun.

“That has been a guiding principle for my Ministry including composing my songs. I’m certain Aseda, now available on digital platforms including Boomplay will inspire and uplift listeners, making it a perfect start to the New Year,” she said.
