The Accra High Court has approved a combined bail of GH¢150 million for former National Food and Buffer Stock Company (NFBS) CEO Hannan Abdul-Wahab and his wife, Faiza Seidu Wuni, who are standing trial in the ongoing Buffer Stock Company corruption case. Justice Audrey Kocuvi-Tay presided over the bail hearing on Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Both defendants have pleaded not guilty to a total of 24 criminal charges, which include stealing, defrauding by false pretences, intentional dissipation of public funds, money laundering, and exploiting public office for personal gain.

Hannan Abdul-Wahab was granted bail of GH¢100 million, requiring six sureties, four of whom must provide proof of ownership of landed property. The sureties are also mandated to submit copies of their Ghana Cards and maintain updated address information with the court.

His wife, Faiza Seidu Wuni, was released on GH¢50 million bail with four sureties, three of whom must similarly justify ownership of land. Additionally, she is required to deposit all passports with the court and report to investigators every Wednesday.

The court has also placed both Hannan Abdul-Wahab and Faiza Wuni on the national stop list, preventing them from leaving the country during the trial period.

The case has been adjourned to November 27, 2025, for a Case Management Conference, as the prosecution and defence prepare for the next stage of proceedings.
