The family of the late Highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, widely known as Daddy Lumba, has released a statement addressing concerns over misleading funeral-related information being shared by individuals outside the family.

The notice, signed by his wife, Mrs. Akosua Serwah Fosuh, and his sister, Ms. Ernestina Brempomaa Fosuh, on Thursday, November 6, 2025, indicates that Philip Kwabena Agyeman Appiah-Kubi, popularly known as Roman Fada, has allegedly been circulating inaccurate funeral invitations while the family is still privately finalising arrangements.

According to the family, Mr. Appiah-Kubi has no connection to the Fosuh family and does not possess any authority — legally, traditionally, or morally — to issue details relating to funeral or estate matters. They further clarified that his previous working relationship with the late musician ended before Daddy Lumba’s passing, making any public representations on his part inappropriate.

The family has cautioned that any continued attempts to influence or mislead the public could result in legal action. They urged fans, media outlets, and the general public to rely solely on updates originating from the family or their formally appointed representatives.

The caution follows ongoing speculation surrounding the arrangements for the burial of one of Ghana’s most celebrated musicians. Daddy Lumba passed away on July 26, 2025. His final funeral rites have been scheduled for December 6, although the date remains the subject of a legal challenge currently before the court.
