The family of the late Highlife legend Daddy Lumba has issued a firm statement addressing public assumptions about the role of media personality Philip Appiah Kubi, popularly known as Roman Fada, in the artiste’s affairs.
Since Lumba’s passing, Roman Fada has often been approached for information regarding the musician, with many considering him to have been the manager. However, the family says that perception is inaccurate.
In a communique released on November 6, the family explained that all professional ties between Daddy Lumba and Roman Fada were severed before the musician’s death. They stated that contract and business engagements ended during the performer’s lifetime, making it misleading for anyone to continue portraying him as the official manager.
The family further stressed that Roman Fada was aware of this termination and should no longer be regarded as representing the late musician or his estate.
They cautioned that attempts to speak publicly on funeral arrangements or matters concerning the late singer without authority create unnecessary confusion and must cease immediately.
