The blaze engulfed a two-bedroom house with an attached kitchen, destroying the structure and several household belongings. Tragically, Kwasi Nkansah, a 70-year-old visually impaired resident, lost his life in the incident.

Despite the adverse weather and terrain, firefighters brought the fire under control within minutes of arrival and fully extinguished it by 1503 hours, successfully preventing it from spreading to nearby buildings and causing further destruction.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The GNFS extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and stands in solidarity with the affected community during this difficult time.
