Accra, Ghana | February 2026
Harmony for Humanity Foundation, Publishers, Entertainment & Development Inc., an internationally operating humanitarian, cultural, and development organisation, has formally established and expanded its operations in Ghana, marking a strategic milestone in its Africa–Caribbean–Diaspora development framework.
With active programmes across Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, and the global diaspora, Harmony for Humanity delivers integrated interventions spanning humanitarian relief, education, clean water access, women and youth empowerment, cultural diplomacy, creative-economy development, and media advocacy. All initiatives are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDGs 1 (No Poverty), 4 (Quality Education), 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
The Foundation’s work in Ghana builds upon a successful humanitarian, cultural, and fact-finding mission conducted between July and August 2025, during which extensive community consultations, needs assessments, and partnership engagements were carried out in Nungua, Ekumfi District, Swedru, Egyirifa (Cape Coast), and surrounding communities.
“Ghana is not a project location—it is a partner nation within our global humanitarian vision,” said Dr. Onika Campbell-Rowe, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Harmony for Humanity Foundation.
“Our presence here is rooted in respect for traditional leadership, cultural integrity, and community agency. We are building systems of dignity, opportunity, and sustainability that will endure long after individual programmes conclude.”
Humanitarian, Education and Community Development Impact
Harmony for Humanity Foundation has already initiated and committed to a wide range of people-centred interventions across Ghana, benefiting children, youth, women, and families through both immediate support and long-term capacity building. These include:
Hundreds of fully funded scholarships for youth and adult learners
Health and wellness outreach, including free medical screenings and community health fairs
Education support, through the provision of books, stationery, learning materials, and mentorship
Women’s empowerment programmes, focused on entrepreneurship, skills training, and income generation
Creative-industry development, including plans for a community recording studio to preserve culture and create youth employment
Clean water initiatives, including water tank installations and sanitation planning
All programmes are implemented through community-led partnerships, ensuring cultural legitimacy, accountability, and sustainability.
Education, Career Guidance and Youth Empowerment Initiatives Powered by Harmony for Humanity
As part of its broader education and youth development mandate, Harmony for Humanity Foundation is actively powering community-based educational and guidance initiatives within the Ekumfi District, recognising that early intervention is critical to shaping life outcomes for young people.
A key initiative is the Career and Guidance Training Programme for Form 3 Students, delivered in Ekumfi Otuam. This programme targets junior high school students at a crucial transition point, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to make informed and realistic career decisions. Through structured guidance sessions, mentorship, and exposure to diverse professional and vocational pathways, students are supported to identify their interests, develop relevant skills awareness, and understand future opportunities within both academic and technical fields.
By engaging respected professionals, traditional leaders, and sector specialists as resource persons, the programme bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, fostering aspiration, discipline, and purpose among participating students.
In addition, Harmony for Humanity Foundation is a proud supporter of the Ekumfi District Basic Schools Festival of Arts and Culture 2026, a flagship cultural education initiative themed “Culture Education – Nurturing and Preserving Ghanaian Values.” The festival provides a structured platform for basic school pupils to engage in performing arts, visual arts, creative expression, and technical disciplines, reinforcing cultural identity while promoting creativity, confidence, teamwork, and self-expression.
The festival encompasses a wide range of disciplines including choral music, dance, poetry recital, drum language, drama, sight singing, visual arts, cook art, needlework, construction, assemblage, talent hunt, and storytelling. Through this initiative, Harmony for Humanity affirms the role of arts and culture as essential educational tools that contribute to cognitive development, moral formation, social cohesion, and national identity.
Beyond performance, the programme promotes early skills discovery and vocational awareness, enabling pupils to recognise talents that may translate into future livelihoods within the creative, cultural, hospitality, artisan, and technical sectors. This approach aligns with the Foundation’s philosophy of linking education to employability, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
“When young people are grounded in culture, guided in purpose, and exposed to opportunity, they do not just succeed individually—they uplift entire communities,” added Dr. Campbell-Rowe.
“These initiatives reflect our belief that sustainable development begins with confident, culturally rooted, and empowered youth.”
HarmonyFest 2026: Culture as a Tool for Development
All community-based education and cultural programmes are strategically connected to HarmonyFest 2026, the Foundation’s flagship international cultural and humanitarian platform. HarmonyFest transforms arts, music, storytelling, and creative expression into funding mechanisms and advocacy tools for education, clean water, health, and skills development projects across Ghana and the diaspora.
Through HarmonyFest, Ghanaian talent gains international visibility, communities access development resources, and culture becomes a bridge for peacebuilding and global partnership.
A Long-Term Commitment to Ghana
Harmony for Humanity Foundation’s engagement in Ghana is not event-based or short-term. It represents a long-term partnership model grounded in:
Community ownership
Cultural respect
Capacity building
Ethical governance
Measurable social impact
Through education, culture, humanitarian action, and strategic collaboration, the Foundation continues to work toward a future where development is inclusive, dignified, and driven by the people it serves.
