The former Member of Parliament for the Dormaa West Constituency, Ali Maiga Halidu, has officially declared his intention to contest for the National Organizer position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the party’s internal elections.
According to him, the party needs an energetic and grassroots-oriented leader with the required qualities to strengthen its base and mobilize supporters toward victory in the 2028 general elections.
Speaking at a press conference, Ali Maiga Halidu, an NPP National Organizer hopeful, indicated that he has the experience and competence needed to effectively organize and energize the party’s grassroots across the country.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for the Atiwaa East Constituency, Abena Osei Asare, has urged party delegates to vote for Ali Maiga Halidu as the next National Organizer.
According to her, Halidu possesses the leadership qualities and experience needed to support the party’s leadership, including former Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, and other executives to work together to recapture power in the 2028 elections.
Some executives and supporters of the NPP have also thrown their support behind Halidu’s bid, urging delegates to vote massively for him during the party’s internal elections.
