Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has entered into a new marital union, taking a fourth wife named Hiqma in a discreet ceremony held in Abuja. The wedding took place on Saturday and was attended by a select group of close friends and family members.
Although the event was kept away from the public eye initially, it was later made known through a social media post shared by one of Bello’s existing wives, Hafiza Bello. The post confirmed Hiqma’s addition to the household.
Yahaya Bello, who served as the governor of Kogi State between 2016 and 2023, remains a significant political figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC). During his time in office, he made headlines as Nigeria’s youngest sitting governor and was often associated with strong security policies and active engagement with youth.
Prior to this new marriage, Bello was already married to Amina Oyiza Bello, Rashida Bello, and Hafiza Bello. The recent development adds to his growing family, with the introduction of Hiqma as his fourth wife.
