National Organiser hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Emmanuel Korsi Bodja, has paid a courtesy call on former President John Agyekum Kufuor as part of what he describes as a nationwide consultation and stakeholder engagement drive ahead of the party’s national delegates conference.
The conference is expected to elect national executives who will steer the opposition party into the 2028 general elections.
Mr Bodja, who currently serves as the NPP’s Volta Regional Organiser, visited the former President with a team of party stalwarts, outlining his vision for what he termed a disciplined and united reorganisation of the party’s grassroots machinery.
“This morning, I paid a courtesy call on former President John Agyekum Kufuor as part of my nationwide consultation and stakeholder engagement drive aimed at strengthening party reorganisation and mobilisation efforts,” Mr Bodja wrote on his Facebook timeline.
He noted that discussions with the former President centred on the strategic direction of the party, particularly the need to consolidate unity at all levels.
“Among the many issues discussed, party unity, mutual respect, and effective collaboration among members stood out as particularly notable,” he stated.
Mr Bodja added that he and his team were “extremely grateful for the gesture” and assured the former President of what he described as “a clean, fact-based campaign”.
The delegation included Dr John Eleblu, Immediate Past Parliamentary Candidate for North Tongu; Desmond Tumbour, North Dayi Constituency Chairman, Joseph Adranyi, Anlo Constituency Chairman of the Volta region, Alex Odame, Eastern Regional Communications Member of the NPP, Amoako Smart, Director of Operations of the party and Markson Korku Siayor, Campaign Aide.
According to Mr Bodja, the ongoing consultations are gathering momentum and are intended to foster internal cohesion and operational efficiency within the party’s structures.
“The consultations continue to build momentum toward a disciplined, united, and energetic reorganisation of the Party,” he emphasised.
