Former Member of Parliament for Salaga South and the first Savannah Regional Minister, Salifu Adam Braimah, has passed away after a short illness.
He died at the University of Ghana Medical Center, where he had been receiving treatment prior to his death.
The late Braimah, affectionately known as Uncle Salifu, played a significant role in the early administration of the Savannah Region following its creation, serving as its first Regional Minister under the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Arrangements are underway to transport his remains to Salaga, his hometown, for burial in accordance with Islamic traditions.
He is expected to be laid to rest after funeral rites, as family, friends, and political associates mourn his passing.
