The Youth Employment Agency has alerted the public to a growing online scam involving a Facebook page operating under its name. The agency’s Corporate Affairs Directorate confirmed that the page is completely fraudulent and is being used to deceive Ghanaians, especially young people searching for work.

The agency made it clear that this fake platform has no ties to its official operations and should not be trusted for information or application processes. YEA emphasized that it does not demand payment of any kind—no mobile money transfers, no processing fees, and no hidden charges—at any stage of its recruitment, job placement, or skills training programmes. Every legitimate service the agency offers is provided at zero cost.

To prevent further exploitation, YEA urged the public to rely only on its verified communication channels, including the agency’s official website and authenticated social media accounts, where all real announcements are issued.

The agency also appealed to the public to block and report the impostor account to help shield unsuspecting applicants from falling into online fraud schemes.

Reaffirming its stance, YEA noted that its activities are founded on transparency, accountability, and public confidence, and it remains committed to upholding these standards as it delivers employment opportunities nationwide.
