The Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC) has unveiled its 25th Anniversary logo, marking a major milestone in the coalition’s journey of promoting integrity, transparency and accountability in Ghana.

Established in 2001, the GACC has, for the past two and a half decades, served as a convening platform bringing together civil society organisations, public institutions, the private sector, the media, and citizens to strengthen collective action in the fight against corruption and promote good governance.

It has contributed to raising public awareness on corruption issues, advocating governance reforms, and strengthening citizen participation in accountability processes. Through initiatives such as the Local Accountability Networks (LANets) operating in 40 districts across the 16 regions of Ghana, GACC has helped empower citizens at the local level to demand transparency, improved service delivery, and accountable governance.

Anniversary

The GACC @ 25 Anniversary Logo symbolises the advocacy group’s journey over the past 25 years, the partnerships it has built with stakeholders, and its continued commitment to strengthening collective action against corruption.

Throughout the anniversary year, GACC will mark GACC @ 25 through its programmes and engagements, highlighting impact stories and recognising the contributions of partners and stakeholders.

Progress

Speaking at the unveiling, the Board Chairman of the GACC, Nana Osei- Bonsu, noted that the anniversary was not only a celebration of the Coalition’s achievements but also a moment to reflect on the work that remained in advancing integrity and accountability in Ghana.

He emphasised that the progress made over the years had been possible through the dedication and collaboration of members, partners, development partners, and citizens who continued to support the Coalition’s mission.

Nana Osei-Bonsu said the coalition looked forward to strengthening partnerships and advancing transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in governance as it marks its silver jubilee and beyond.
