The newly-elected leadership of the Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) has paid a courtesy visit to the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) to formally introduce themselves and seek collaboration for upcoming global competitions.

The meeting centred on how the GOC can assist the GBF with athlete preparation and secure strong Ghanaian participation in these high-profile events, including the Commonwealth Games and the Olympic Games.

The GOC President, Richard Akpokavie, congratulated the new GBF executives and called for diligence in their roles. 

Priorities

He urged them to prioritise the future over past issues, noting that Ghanaian boxing had a promising outlook if the right actions were taken.

In response, GBF President, Dauda Fuseni, expressed appreciation to Mr Akpokavie and the GOC for their ongoing commitment to working relentlessly to revive the sport and return it to its former prominence.
