The office of the Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse, Spiritual Overlord of the GaDangme people, has summoned Victor Kofi Owusu, the family head of the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, over reports concerning his alleged burial.
In a letter dated March 10, 2026, the office directed Mr. Owusu, also known as Abusua Panyin Tupac, to appear before Nuumo Borketey Laweh Tsuru at the Nungua Palace on Thursday, March 13, at 11:30 a.m.
The summons follows public reports and concerns surrounding the alleged burial of the late musician, whose private name was Charles Kojo Fosu, at his residence in East Legon, Accra.
According to the letter, the matter has raised significant concern among members of the GaDangme community and has therefore been referred to the Spiritual Overlord for clarification and traditional review.
“As the Family Head (Abusua Panyin) of the late Charles Kojo Fosu, your presence is required to provide the necessary explanation and engagement on the matter in accordance with customary protocols and to assist in addressing the concerns raised,” the statement read.
The office further instructed Mr. Owusu to cooperate fully with traditional authorities at the Nungua Palace to provide clarification and help resolve the issue.
The statement emphasised that the summons aims to ensure respect for tradition, maintain harmony within the community, and facilitate a peaceful resolution of concerns regarding the reported burial.
The family head was urged to treat the summons with urgency and comply fully with the directives of the traditional leadership.
