The heart-wrenching incident occurred on a somber Sunday, specifically on October 20, 2024, around 5 PM, when Constable Appiah was winding down after a routine patrol duty.
As per reports, Constable Appiah was riding as a pillion passenger on a motorbike in the company of a fellow police officer, marking the end of their patrol and snap-check duties for the day.
Adverse weather conditions forced the officers to suspend their operations, seeking shelter from the heavy rainfall in the region.
