The Ministry of the Interior, in collaboration with the Diaspora Affairs Office of the President, has announced a temporary suspension of Ghanaian citizenship applications for historical diasporans.

In a statement issued on Sunday, February 1, the institutions explained that the decision forms part of a joint effort to review and improve the application process. The pause, according to the statement, is intended to streamline procedures and make the system more efficient, accessible, and user-friendly.
