Ghana’s Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has confirmed that each player will receive a $5,000 bonus for a win against Chad or Mali in the upcoming fixtures. Head coach Otto Addo will earn double — $10,000 — in recognition of his leadership role.

The announcement came just hours before the team’s scheduled departure to N’Djamena for their September 4 clash against Chad. Ghana currently tops Group I with 15 points from six matches, having won five and lost just once. With Kudus Mohammed and Inaki Williams now in camp, the squad is looking sharp and focused.

After the Chad game, the Black Stars will return to Accra to host Mali on September 8 — a match expected to draw a massive crowd at the Accra Sports Stadium. The final round of qualifiers in October will see Ghana face the Central African Republic and Comoros, with a World Cup ticket within reach.

The bonus package is designed to keep spirits high and performances consistent as Ghana pushes for its fifth appearance on football’s biggest stage. With the stakes rising and the squad locked in, the message is clear: win, and win well.
