The Ghana TVET Service has initiated investigations into allegations of financial mismanagement, abuse of office, and administrative irregularities at the Bechem Technical Institute.
The probe follows a petition submitted by the school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and some staff members.
In a press release dated January 23, the Service assured the public that the claims are being treated seriously and are being reviewed through established internal processes.
The service emphasised that the allegations remain unverified at this stage and that due process will be followed to ensure a fair hearing for all parties involved.
It reiterated its commitment to transparency, accountability, and professionalism across all Technical and Vocational Education and Training institutions.
It warned that any confirmed misconduct would result in appropriate disciplinary action, while unsubstantiated claims would not affect the integrity of the institution’s leadership.
Academic activities at Bechem Technical Institute are expected to continue uninterrupted during the investigation. The Service appealed to the media and the public to allow the process to run its course and promised to provide updates when necessary.
