The Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group, Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong, has called on business leaders to anchor enterprise growth in faith, ethics and purpose, warning that strategy and capital alone are insufficient for sustainable impact.
He made the call at the inauguration of the AH Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International (FGBMFI) at a breakfast meeting held at the AH Hotel in East Legon, Accra, on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
The event brought together business executives and professionals, with discussions centred on ethical leadership and the role of faith in building transformative businesses across Africa.
Dr Siaw Agyepong, who was the keynote speaker, reflected on his personal journey from modest beginnings to leading one of Africa’s largest indigenous business groups, describing his life as a testimony of grace, resilience and divine direction.
He recounted early struggles marked by limited formal education and uncertainty, noting that those experiences shaped his character and reinforced his belief that enduring success is rooted in discipline, values, and obedience to God.
According to him, key turning points in his entrepreneurial journey redirected his focus towards environmental and infrastructure solutions, which have since become central to the Jospong Group’s operations across the continent.
He attributed the Group’s presence in about 25 African countries to consistent prayer, ethical leadership and a clear mission beyond profit.
Beyond commercial success, Dr Siaw Agyepong stressed the responsibility of Christian business leaders to invest in people, communities, and spiritual development. He disclosed plans to integrate places of worship within major operational sites as the Group expands, reinforcing the link between enterprise and faith.
The National President of FGBMFI Ghana, Mr Emmanuel Baba Mahama, described the inauguration of the AH Chapter as both strategic and timely.
He said the chapter aligns with the Fellowship’s vision of establishing chapters in every nation, noting that Dr Siaw Agyepong’s Pan-African business footprint provided a practical platform for advancing faith-based leadership in the corporate space.
As part of the ceremony, Dr Siaw Agyepong was formally inducted into the Fellowship and presented with official insignia, accompanied by prayers for wisdom, protection and continued impact in business and public service.
Mr Mahama subsequently declared the AH Chapter duly inaugurated, expressing confidence that it would serve as a hub for mentoring, ethical business practice and Christian witness within the corporate community.
The ceremony ended on a reflective note, with organisers expressing optimism that the AH Chapter would play a key role in nurturing principled leadership among emerging entrepreneurs, in line with the Fellowship’s mission of transforming lives and businesses through faith.
