Ghana Embassy in Doha tells Ghanaian nationals to register for possible evacuation

The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Doha has called on all Ghanaian nationals living in Qatar to urgently register with the mission as part of ongoing emergency preparedness measures.

In a statement, the Embassy urged those who have not yet registered to do so immediately, citing heightened tensions and unrest within the region.

According to the Embassy, the exercise is aimed at strengthening communication between the mission and Ghanaian citizens in Qatar, and ensuring that appropriate support can be provided if the need arises.

“The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Doha hereby urges all Ghanaian nationals residing in the State of Qatar who have not registered to immediately do so, as part of ongoing emergency preparedness measures,” the statement said.

It explained that the registration will enable the Embassy to “effectively communicate with, assist, and, if necessary, coordinate evacuation arrangements for Ghanaian citizens.”

The directive applies to all Ghanaians in Qatar, including students, workers, families, and visitors who are required to complete an online registration form provided by the mission.

The Embassy further assured that all information submitted will be treated with strict confidentiality and used solely for official emergency and consular purposes.

It added that updates will continue to be shared through its official communication channels as the situation develops.
