“Sex before marriage is very important,” Agyapong said during the TV conversation. She clarified that because people are fundamentally different, couples should get to know one another well in order to prevent unforeseen problems down the road. She emphasized the need of determining compatibility beforehand by using the example of couples who spend a lot of money on lavish weddings only to find personal difficulties that lead to disappointment.
Agyapong emphasized that consenting relationships between adults are acceptable, even though she acknowledged that some people believe premarital sex to be immoral. She emphasized the difference between adultery and premarital sex, claiming that the latter is more damaging since it violates marriage vows and damages families. “While adultery breaks promises and damages families, fornication involves willing adults,” she said.
Her remarks have sparked a lot of debate and received both praise and criticism.Agyapong suggests that couples who take the time to get to know one another are more likely to have happy and long-lasting marriages by highlighting the importance of reciprocal care, trust, and understanding in relationships.
