Gospel artist Nicholas Omane Acheampong has sounded a dire alarm, urging Ghanaians to reconsider their support for Former President John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Expressing grave concern, Acheampong warned that Mahama’s return to power could usher in a period of turmoil worse than the infamous dumsor experienced during his previous tenure.
He painted a grim picture, suggesting that Mahama’s resentment over his 2016 electoral loss might drive him to enact revenge upon the electorate if given another chance.
Acheampong cautioned that voting for Mahama would be tantamount to inviting disaster upon the nation, with consequences far more severe than power outages.
“It is not good for someone who has been president before to come back. It wont work. Because if he wins, you are giving him the opportunity to take revenge on you for not voting for him in the past election.”
It would be recalled that dumsor became more popular during the administration of Mahama.
