Ghana’s Producer Price Inflation (PPI) fell in January 2026
Ghana’s Producer Price Inflation (PPI) dropped to 1.6 percent in January 2026, down from 1.9 percent recorded in December 2025.
The PPI refers to the rate of change in prices received by domestic producers for goods and services.
According to the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) on February 18, 2026, this represents a 0.3 percentage point drop.
Producer Price Inflation drops to 1.3% in November 2025
On a month-to-month basis, producer prices rose by 3.3 percent in January, compared to 0.8 percent in December 2025.
The mining and quarrying sector had the highest inflation rate at 43.7 percent.
The transport and storage sector continued to see falling prices, with inflation dropping to negative 6.9 percent in January from negative 3.7 percent in December.
Accommodation and food services also saw bigger price drops, with deflation at negative 5.4 percent, compared to negative 3.2 percent in December.
Meanwhile, the information and communication sector eased slightly, with prices rising 1.4 percent in January, down from 1.7 percent in December 2025.
