Match Week 7 of the University of Ghana Corporate Football League delivered a night of emphatic victories and attacking brilliance, as teams in Group A stamped their authority at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium and its warm-up pitch on April 10, 2026.
The tone for the evening was set early when Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) dismantled the University of Ghana (UG) with ruthless efficiency. Samuel Aferi wasted no time in asserting control, striking twice within the opening six minutes to put GCAA firmly in command. The early blitz unsettled UG, who struggled to regain composure as Prince Aboagye extended the lead before the break. Haruna Oko’s second-half effort completed a commanding 4–0 win, underlining GCAA’s attacking sharpness and defensive discipline.
That dominance was mirrored in the next fixture, where Ghana Armed Forces Officers Sports Club (GAFOSC) produced a composed and clinical display to dispatch Bui Power Authority 3–0. Lac Eric Oduro opened the scoring early, setting the platform for a controlled performance. Gideon Adjetey Mensah doubled the advantage before Sgt Michael Amoh sealed the result, as GAFOSC maintained their grip on proceedings from start to finish.
If the earlier matches showcased control, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) elevated the spectacle with a relentless attacking exhibition against Stanbic Bank. The GFA side stormed into a two-goal lead within the opening two minutes through Eric Donkor and Philip Aseweh, setting the stage for a high-scoring encounter. Donkor emerged as the standout performer, registering a hat-trick as GFA powered to a 6–1 victory. Although Stanbic Bank briefly responded through Andrews Dodoo, it proved little more than consolation against a rampant opponent.
Lancaster Accra adopted a more measured approach but still secured maximum points with a 2–0 victory over Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC). In a tightly contested encounter, Michael Essuman broke the deadlock in the first half, while Daniel Agyekum added a second after the interval to ensure Lancaster’s steady rise with a composed performance.
The only fixture that defied the night’s pattern of dominance was a thrilling contest between GOIL and GIMPA, which ended in a pulsating 3–3 draw. Jeremiah Acquah twice gave GIMPA the advantage with a brace, but GOIL responded each time through Ishmael Abdul-Wahab and Kwabena Darkwa before Emmanuel Aryee’s late equaliser ensured honours were shared. Both sides pushed for a decisive goal in the closing stages, but neither could find a breakthrough in an evenly balanced contest.
The latest round of fixtures highlighted the growing competitiveness and quality within the corporate league, with several teams demonstrating attacking depth and tactical discipline as the competition intensifies.
The 2026 University of Ghana Corporate Football League continues to attract strong corporate participation and fan interest, with backing from Perla Mineral Water and sponsors including TCL, Glico General Insurance, Wilmar Africa and the Ghana Football Association.
