During the sod-cutting ceremony for a new 4-storey, 200-bed hostel at Trinity Theological Seminary on April 3, 2024, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour highlighted that God can use individuals of any faith to drive national progress.

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, a Muslim, officiated the event, fulfilling a promise made in 2021 to support the seminary’s acquisition of a hostel for its pastoral trainees. Rev. Fordjour praised Bawumia’s guidance, generosity, and commitment, stating that the project would come to fruition through his efforts.

Funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund, the hostel is expected to be completed within 14 months. The Reverend’s comments also appeared to address statements by Alan Kyerematen, who suggested that Ghana, as a Christian country, should be governed by Christians.
