A Nigerian woman, Kate Chinagorom Eze, has sparked online debate with her claim that many married women are bitter and depressed because they constantly check their husbands’ phones.
Taking to her Facebook page, she suggested that phone snooping is a major cause of stress-related illnesses among married women.
According to her, some women have even ended up in the hospital due to the emotional toll of monitoring their spouse’s messages.
She cited the case of a woman who lost sleep over checking her husband’s phone and was on constant medication due to stress.
The situation escalated when she confronted a woman from her husband’s past, leading to emotional distress and a hospital visit.
Her post has triggered reactions, with some agreeing that phone snooping creates unnecessary problems in marriages, while others argue that trust should not be blind.
This raises an important question: Should married women avoid checking their husband’s phones for their own peace of mind, or is it a necessary evil in modern relationships?
She wrote;
“Having women in a closer Community has opened my eyes to why many of them are bitter and depressed. One of the major reasons is that married women feed on their husbands phones like food which has caused many different types of illnesses,” she wrote.
One of us shared how she was constantly on medication because she refused to sleep as she monitors her husband’s phone.
She shared how she had an accident thinking of a message from her husband’s ex even when she wasn’t sure they were dating.
The husband tried to make her understand that they had nothing going on but she didn’t believe.
She went ahead to confront the lady who out of anger dished out things that never happened just to make sure she leaves that marriage.
That singular act landed her in the hospital and she spent days. Hmmm if she has kpaied, life must go on.
