The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for South Tongu, Maxwell Kwame Lukutor, has disclosed that the government is committing about GH¢15 billion towards the completion of 23 stalled infrastructure projects inherited from the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.
Mr Lukutor disclosed in Parliament on Wednesday, 4th March 2026, during his contribution to the debate on the 2026 State of the Nation Address delivered by President John Dramani Mahama on February 27.
“About GH¢15 billion is pushed to 23 stalled projects to revive them,” he said.
According to the legislator, the NDC government has prioritised the revival of abandoned infrastructure projects as part of efforts to address critical development gaps across the country.
The stalled projects, according to him, include roads and health facilities.
He explained that many of the projects had been left incomplete for years, leading to increased construction costs, contractor withdrawal and economic challenges for communities that rely on the infrastructure.
Mr Lukutor noted that the GH¢15 billion allocation is expected to accelerate work on the 23 projects, particularly in the road and transport sector, to ensure their timely completion.
“Mr Speaker, we have so much to offer,” he added.
