Asante Kotoko defeated Young Apostles 2-0 to go fourth on the table in the Ghana Premier League.

The visitors made their intentions clear from the opening minutes, pressing high and forcing the home side onto the back foot.

Their early pressure paid off when Johnson Oppong Owusu rose above his marker to head home the opener.

Captain Samba O’Neil doubled the advantage with another well-taken header, giving the Porcupine Warriors full control before halftime.

The result ends a three-game run without victory and keeps Kotoko firmly in the race at the top end of the table.
