Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko has announced the appoint of the club’s new Board of Directors.
The official appointment was unveiled on Friday, February 27, through a statement released by Manhyia Palace.
Per the press release, the newly constituted Board will be chaired by Mr. James Osei Brown, Chief Executive Officer of Joshob Construction. He will be supported by Mr. Kwasi Osei Ofori, Chief Executive Officer of Rocksure, who takes up the role of Vice Chairman.
The board will also have Kofi Amoa-Abban, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rigworld Group as a member.
The new Board is set to immediately assume its statutory oversight responsibilities.
However, the club’s current Interim Management Committee (IMC) will still continue to function as the management of the club until the end of the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League season.
A meeting was held at Manhyia Palace where the new Board was formally introduced to the Interim Management Committee.
Osei Brown assured stakeholders of the Board’s desire to ensure the club gets back to its glory days both on and off the pitch.
The move is expected to strengthen governance and long-term planning at the club as Kotoko continues its campaign in the Ghana’s top flight.
