After years of harboring resentment, gospel musician Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong has publicly forgiven his former collaborator, Daddy Lumba, for allegedly absconding with the proceeds from their joint album launch in 2015.
Ampong had long accused Lumba of reneging on their agreed-upon 60/40 profit-sharing agreement, leaving him feeling betrayed and owed.
The dispute had cast a shadow over their professional relationship and had been a source of pain and frustration for Ampong.
However, in a recent video, Ampong announced that he has finally put the matter to rest, forgiving Lumba for his perceived transgressions.
This gesture of forgiveness comes as Ampong marks a new chapter in his life, having been ordained as a Reverend Minister by Bishop Adonteng Boateng in the United States.
By letting go of past grievances, Ampong demonstrates his commitment to his newfound spiritual path and his desire for closure and healing.
He acknowledged that people often say hurtful things in the heat of the moment but emphasized that he has truly forgiven Lumba and is moving forward. Ampong’s act of forgiveness serves as a testament to the power of mercy and the importance of releasing grudges.
The duo, Ghanaian music legends have made significant contributions to the industry. Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong, widely recognized as Great Ampong, has been a prominent SDA gospel artist. Meanwhile, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, began his journey after high school by forming the Lumba Brothers group alongside his friends Yaw, Kwabena, and his girlfriend Theresa Abebrese.
