In contrast to the fractures within the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Deputy General Secretary Haruna Mohammed has emphasized the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) organizational strength.

“The NDC is a sharply divided party. They have the Northern Caucus, the Fante Confederation, and the Jalakoko Mafia. “A variety of these issues are emerging,” Mohammed stated.

He made a comparison between this and the NPP, pointing out that the latter handles internal conflicts amicably.

“After the election on November 4, 2023, we emerged more stronger. Even in 2026, we have preserved neutrality. He clarified, “The National Council of Elders and the presidential elections committee are in place to resolve any difficulties.

Mohammed noted that the NPP has never faced the level of strife observed in other parties.

“No members of our party have left to join other political parties. However, Goozie Tanoh is going out. Obed Asamoah and Frances Essiam were both whipped when they traveled to Koforidua. Many people had bruises. The NPP has never experienced that,” he said.
