Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has named seasoned football administrator Julius Ben Emunah as its new Managing Director, ushering in a fresh leadership phase as the club positions itself for stronger administrative efficiency and on-field competitiveness.

The appointment, which takes effect from February 2, 2026, was announced in an official statement issued by the club on February 3. Mr Emunah replaces Dr Delali Anku-Adiamah, who has stepped down after overseeing the club during what management described as a critical period in its recent history.

In confirming the decision, the Board of Directors said it was confident the new Managing Director possesses the experience and vision required to guide the Phobians into what it described as “a new era of professionalism, transparency, and competitiveness”.

Mr Emunah brings to the role nearly a decade of experience across football administration, governance, sports broadcasting and management at both national and continental levels. Until his appointment, he served as Head of Competitions at the Ghana Football Association, where he was directly involved in the organisation and regulation of domestic football competitions.
