The 2026 WAFCON will take place in Morocco
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the official groups for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which will be hosted in Morocco.
Ghana’s Black Queens will face Cameroon in what is expected to be a highly competitive encounter in their group, alongside Mali and Cape Verde, as all four teams battle for places in the knockout stage.
Head coach Kim Lars Björkegren and his players will be hoping to secure a prestigious medal after finishing third in the previous edition of the tournament.

Defending champions Nigeria will be aiming to retain their title, while the likes of Cameroon, South Africa, Morocco and other contenders will also be chasing continental glory.
The stadiums in Morocco earmarked to host the games include Moulay Al Hassanin Stadium in Rabat, Al Madina Stadium in Rabat, Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, and the Complexe Sportif de Fès in Fès.
