A tragic incident occurred in Abaji when a housewife, identified as Iya Bolu, collapsed and died while brushing her teeth. The incident took place on Friday morning around 7 a.m., shortly after she had completed her morning prayers.
The woman, a petty trader, appeared to be in good health before the sudden collapse. After the incident, she was rushed to a local hospital, where medical staff confirmed her death.
At the time, her husband, a panel beater, was away at work and was only able to reach the hospital after being informed of the situation, by which point she had already been pronounced dead.
Plans were underway for her to travel to Ondo State later in the month for her mother’s burial, adding to the shock and grief of the family. Her remains have been kept at the hospital morgue and are scheduled to be transported to Ondo State for burial.
The sudden loss has left neighbors and relatives stunned, highlighting the unpredictability of life and the fragility of health.
