Ghanaian musician Edem has shared details about a traumatic experience that nearly derailed his career—a motor accident in December 2023 that not only affected his professional engagements but also led to an extended legal battle.

The accident, which occurred on December 10, 2023, had far-reaching consequences.

Speaking in an interview with Doreen Avio on Daybreak Hitz, the rapper disclosed that the incident caused major disruptions to his plans, as show promoters withdrew their bookings out of uncertainty about his condition.

Many event organizers who had initially scheduled performances with him decided to either postpone or completely cancel, fearing that he might not be in a position to deliver as expected.

The financial impact of these cancellations was significant. Edem explained that his team continuously received calls from promoters informing them of their decisions to back out.

This sudden loss of opportunities left him and his team struggling to regain their footing in the industry.

However, the challenges did not end with show cancellations. Following the accident, legal complications arose, forcing him into an extended court process that kept him away from the public eye for over a year.
